Penthe is arguably one of the most fierce warriors of the Adem at the time Kvothe visits Haert. In battle she defeats Shehyn, the leader of of [{Latantha]] school. She is one of the few Adem that are openly kind to Kvothe, and becomes one of his lover once he is accepted to the school.
