The Master Namer is the Master in charge of Naming at the University. The position is currently held by Elodin.

Speculation

It is speculated that the Master Namer position has not been around for long, and was very recently created; this is evidenced by the Chancellor saying that there are eight masters [1]. However this could be because Elodin does not show up often.
