Penthe is arguably one of the most fierce warriors of the Adem at the time Kvothe visits Haert. In battle she defeats Shehyn, the leader of Latantha in Haert. She is one of the few Adem openly kind to Kvothe and becomes one of his lovers after he is accepted to the school.
