They do much business in tending the sick. They never turn anyone away because they can't pay.
The Medica is a building within The University that is used for tending to the sick and teaching students medicine. It is run by Master Arwyl.
Description
Kvothe describes the Medica as being "taller & less rambling"[1] than Mains.
The Medica is a fully functioning hospital. While those using its services do not have to pay in advance, they eventually have to pay off their debt with coin or work.
Students of the University can study here to become Physickers. Under Master Arwyl's tutelage, students undergo six terms as an E'lir, eight terms as a Re'lar, and ten terms as an El'the.
