I’ve cures for what ails you! My wares never fails you! I’ve potions for pennies, results guaranteed!

– Deadnettle [1]

Three Pennies for Wishing is a play by Feltemi Reis.

Characters

  • Unnamed noble's son
  • Deadnettle, a potion seller

Play

The play is a tragic and darkly comic story of betrayal. It is often expurgated to remove objectionable elements.[2] Deadnettle is humiliated in the fourth act.[3]

In the Chronicle

A young Kvothe played a noble's son in the play with his troupe.[4] The play is performed in Imre whilst Kvothe studies at the University.[2]

Deadnettle shares his name with a plant used in medicines including the tea Kvothe prepares for Denna to help with her lungs and later in a medicinal tea for the Maer.[5][6]
