Lorren is the current Master Archivist at the University. Lorren is over six and a half feet tall [1] and is extremely dispassionate. Lorren is in charge of acquiring new books for the Archives, as well as directing a team of scrivs in the organization of the shelves. Lorren has heard of Kvothe’s father Arliden [2].
Speculation
It is speculated that Lorren could be a member of the Order Amyr[3] because:
- The Archives contain the four-plate door, which the Amyr could be trying to guard;
- Lorren has banned Kvothe for reading about the Amyr;
- The Archives have been pruned of information on the Amyr or the Chandrian.
